Initially, the Lakou Bosco association, in the heart of the city
Our association, Lakou Bosco, was founded in September 2020 with the ambition of reaching out to young people and families facing the greatest difficulties, to provide them with a supportive and educational experience, and to guide them towards new opportunities. It distinguishes itself through its innovative and holistic approach to youth support.
Lakou Bosco's premises, located in the heart of the popular neighborhoods of Les Abymes, between Dugazon and Baimbridge (neighborhoods classified as actively monitored and near Priority Urban Areas), now make it possible to implement many actions for young people and families.
An action and objectives
Our action is based on a holistic approach, extending our support to parents. Many of them face significant economic and social difficulties. We help them overcome these challenges, particularly by taking the time to listen, facilitating their access to rights, and guiding them in their educational responsibilities. Because a parent who is better supported is a parent more able to support their child.
Our main axes:
- Prevention of idleness
- School dropout prevention
- Prevention of family breakdown
In summary, Lakou Bosco is not simply an educational structure. It is a true territorial solidarity project, who acts for and with the residents, valuing everyone's strengths to build a more just and harmonious common future for our youth.
The current development of our association necessitates a large-scale construction project: the Lakou Bosco village, which has been carefully designed to meet the expectations of young people and their families.
The need to expand
The current development of our association necessitates a large-scale construction project: the Lakou Bosco village, which has been carefully designed to meet the expectations of young people and their families.

The main mission of Lakou Bosco village is to be a space for welcoming, sharing, and support for the inhabitants of the intervention area, particularly families, in order to develop a spirit of mutual aid, a sense of belonging, and a feeling of security, thereby rebuilding self-esteem and dignity.
The LAKOU BOSCO VILLAGE will be a meeting space of nearly 280 square meters composed of several living areas, including a parents-young children reception area, a kitchen and a DIY workshop, a "lakou" space, as well as a sports field and 2 multi-activity rooms: multimedia area, workspace, game library, sports area, etc. These spaces aim to highlight everyone's skills in a dynamic of transmission (creation, repair, DIY, cooking, gardening, sports, games, digital technology, dance, yoga, etc.).
